Flourish Education is working with a School within Wolverhampton that requires an English Head of Department who can also teach Key Stages 2 & 3. This teacher would be required to fulfil all roles associated with being a head of department whilst also being able to fill the role of English Teacher and take on extra responsibilities where required.           

This School is easily accessible by car from Wolverhampton and Cannock and they are looking for an immediate starter. This post would be teaching four full days per week. This School is mainly focused on developing their students for the next phase of education whilst continuously improving their SATS & SPAG scores.

To apply to this role you will need the following

• UK QTS
• Passion for Teaching
• Previous experience as a head of department
• Proven record for raising standards with SATS & SPAG English
• Current DBS
• Two years of references

Responsibilities

• Take on a full planning and marking role whilst undertaking a full timetable for KS2 & KS3
• Managing a department, it’s budget and it’s staff
• Able to demonstrate students progression in all lessons for abilities
• Manage behaviour as per the school guidelines
• Manage teaching assistants effectively
• Lead by example
