Search jobsAn OFSTED rated ‘Good’ school in Sandwell is looking to recruit an experienced Year 2 teacher. This role is on a full time, long term basis to cover a maternity leave. The successful candidate will start in January, taking some time in December to do a handover with the existing class teacher. The role is expected to last until at least the end of the academic year.
The school is a large, 4 form entry Infant school located in Oldbury. They have high expectations of children and staff alike to ensure that their high standards are maintained.
The ideal candidate will have experience of teaching in Year 2 and of delivering SATS. You will have excellent behaviour management as well as a good working knowledge of phonics. You must be creative and plan and deliver engaging lessons.
The school has a high proportion of students who qualify for pupil –premium funding. Pupils are enthusiastic and willing to learn, although behaviour can sometimes be poor. It is imperative that you have excellent behaviour management to be considered for this role.
