Search jobsWe are looking to recruit a strong KS2 teacher for a primary school in Smethwick on a full time, long term basis. This position is to cover maternity leave and is due to start in May and last until at least February 2019.
The school we are working with has an inclusive ethos and friendly atmosphere. The percentage of pupils who have EAL is well above average, as is those who are eligible for pupil premium funding.

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will initially be based in a Year 5 class, although this may change in September to meet the needs of the school staffing structure so you must have an element of flexibility.
The school is two form entry so planning will be shared with the other year group teacher. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, whilst using the school behaviour policy to maintain good behaviour and a positive learning environment.
Experience of working with children who have EAL and are new to the country would be an advantage as over 60% of the children in this class fall in to this category. You will be supported by a classroom teaching assistant.
