Flourish Education are working with a school in Sandwell who require an experienced Teacher of Geography & Humanities. This role would involve becoming part of a small but experienced Humanities team for a long term role. Ideally the School are looking for an already experienced Teacher but will also consider NQT’S.

The role will involve teaching Key Stages 3 & 4 Geography and also Key Stages 3 & 4 Humanities. This School is an Academy that is focused on fostering competition, participation and leadership. Building strong students preparing for their futures and promoting health and well-being. This role would ideally suit a Teacher who lives local to Sandwell, is passionate about teaching and is looking for a strong department to become part of the team. This post is to begin after the February half term.

To apply for the role you will need the following:

·        Qualified Teacher status (QTS) - NQT's are also encouraged to apply

·        Experience as a secondary Humanities teacher

·        Two references from your last two teaching posts

·        A proven record of raising examination results

Responsibilities

Within this role you will be responsible for

·        Take on a full planning and marking role whilst undertaking a full timetable for KS3 & KS4

·        Able to demonstrate student's progression in all lessons for abilities

·        Manage behaviour as per the school guidelines

·        Manage teaching assistants effectively
