Flourish Education is recruiting for a Teaching Assistant wo work in a Primary School in Quinton. The school is very inclusive and the staff are all very helpful and welcoming.

The school are looking for a Teaching Assistant who can work 1:1 with a child with Autism. The child has recently moved to the school and they are looking for a Teaching Assistant who can follow them through their school life. The child is currently in Year 5.

The ideal Teaching Assistant will be reliable as the child likes routine and does not respond well to change, you will be friendly, nurturing and up for a challenge.

To apply to this role you will need the following

• Minimum level 2 childcare qualification
• Key Stage 2 experience
• Experience working with children with Autism
• Ability to work as a team but also independently

Responsibilities

• To work 1:1 with a child in Year 5 with Autism
• To ensure the learning environment is set up for the child
• To work under the instruction of the class teacher but also be able to think on your own feet as and when needed
• To liaise and work with outside agencies to ensure the best possible care is provided for the child
