Flourish Education Office Christmas Party

The Christmas party is a tradition looked forward to by many. It’s a great time to take stock of successes, reflect on the hard work  put in by the team over the year and have a bit of fun at the same time.

Christmas Party Ideas

There’s a wide selection nowadays when it comes to the type of Christmas party that you can attend. Some are small and private whilst others are big, vibrant and public.

Festive work celebrations can be traditional or have more of a quirky influence. You can choose the traditional turkey, Christmas hats and ‘jingle bells’ or opt for something different like a musical murder mystery night or Christmas Masquerade Ball.

Whatever the venue, location or theme is, you'll want the event to be enjoyable, pleasant and memorable for all the right reasons.

The Belfry Hotel & Resort

We chose to celebrate in style this year and attend a shared party night with a variety of other companies at The Belfry Hotel & Resort – located just outside of Birmingham. We went as a large group and check-in was swift and efficient. The hotel reception, bars and dining room were excellent, the Christmas decorations superb and the staff were polite & friendly.

Dinner in the Woodland Suite

Toasting with champagne

Everyone enjoyed a glass of fizz on entering the dining room before sitting down and tucking into a festive 3 course set menu. Food is of course a key part of any Christmas party and turkey was the most popular choice for our group but some great vegetarian options were available too.

The table arrangements made it easy for the team to mingle with colleagues so everyone had the opportunity to speak and catch-up with one another.  A DJ was on hand throughout the meal to help everyone get into the party spirit.

Dancing the night away

Dancing at the Christmas party is usually essential after everyone has been fed. It’s the perfect occasion for everyone to really let their hair down. The Bel Air Nightclub is a separate venue within the hotel grounds and this is where we ventured. The Flourish Education team dusted off our dancing shoes and then burnt off some calories into the wee small hours.

The Belfry is a big place and with tired eyes and tired feet, it was easy to get lost when trying to navigate back to get a good night’s sleep in one of the signature rooms. Most of the staff enjoyed an overnight stay but others arrived safely home via taxi.

Slap up breakfast at The Ryder Grill

The following morning was a jolly atmosphere with everyone commenting on what a fun night was had by all. The self-service breakfast in The Ryder Grill offered a wide range of hot and cold favourites. Juice, a cup or two of tea and a full English breakfast went down particularly well.

Company Christmas party success

The Christmas party was a brilliant opportunity for everyone at Flourish Education to relax, mix with different people, and understand their areas of work. The service, food and atmosphere at The Belfry Hotel & Resort was fantastic. We hope to visit once again in the future.
