Year 10 Mock Interviews at St Paul's School for Girls
Year 10 Mock Interviews Questions
Branch Manager, Amy Philpot, was recently invited to St Pauls School for Girls to help put pupils through their paces in mock interviews. More than 20 reputable local businesses were in attendance to deliver individual mock interviews, for all pupils in Year 10.
The aim of the day was to enable pupils to experience an interview that's both realistic and challenging - a valuable contribution to their personal development.
Amy arrived promptly at the school gates in the morning at 9am. She was taken into a hall and briefed on the setup, process and what to expect. Amy and representatives from other businesses had 4 mock interview sessions throughout the morning - 2 girls at each session.
'The girls handed over their CVs and application forms and then we began the interview process. Once an interview was over we provided the girls with constructive feedback and gave them marks on their introduction, communication skills, attitude and the ending of the interview.' - Amy Philpot
All of the girls were very well prepared. A large majority had clear career goals in mind and had effectively researched how they'll go about achieving their aspirations.
'I reminded the girls to allow their personalities and smile to shine through. To back up what they say with examples and to ask for questions to be repeated, if they're ever unsure.' - Amy Philpot
Amy said that each and every girl was different but it was an honour to work with them - a real pleasure to provide feedback on their mock interviews.
