Flourish Education are working with a mainstream primary school in Handsworth in Birmingham, to recruit exclusively for a Level 3 Learning Support Assistant/Teaching Assistant with good behaviour management skills.

This teaching assistant role is to work 1:3 with low level behavioural issues. The children don’t have EHC plans. The children will excel with someone experienced in working with children with additional needs, and who has a calm and patient nature. This role is to keep these children on track with school work with gentle persuasion to avoid distractions.

The role is required to start as soon as possible.

To apply to this teaching assistant role you will need the following

• Relevant Level 3 qualification or above
• At least 1 year of experience within Primary Schools
• Extensive experience of working with children with Special Needs in particular Behaviour Difficulties
• Experience of working on a 1:1 basis
• A good reference from your most recent school
• Good behaviour management

Responsibilities of a teaching assistant

• To work on a 1:1 basis with a child with Behaviour difficulties
• To effectively manage the behaviour and routines of the child
• Encourage child’s development and improve their access to the curriculum
