Are you an enthusiastic Art Teacher passionate about inspiring creativity in young people? Flourish Education is recruiting an Art Teacher for a long-term role in Bromsgrove, starting after Easter and continuing to the end of the academic year. This Art Teacher role offers flexibility, with both full-time and part-time options available, while working in a supportive and well-resourced school environment.
The school boasts modern, well-equipped art facilities, allowing an Art Teacher to deliver engaging, hands-on lessons that develop students’ creativity and artistic skills. Behaviour across the school is excellent, and staff benefit from the support of a highly effective and approachable leadership team. Although initially temporary, this Art Teacher position offers the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. QTS is required.
Job Role
• Deliver engaging Art lessons across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4)
• Teach a range of artistic techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media
• Follow the National Curriculum and adapt lessons to meet different learning needs
• Maintain excellent behaviour management within classroom and studio environments
• Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback
• Build strong relationships with pupils and staff within the Secondary School
• Work confidently as a Supply Teacher with flexibility for part-time or full-time hours
Required Skills and Experience
• Art Teacher, Secondary Teacher, Art ECT, Supply Teacher
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT)
• Excellent subject knowledge in Art and Design
• Strong understanding of the National Curriculum for KS3 and KS4
• Ability to create a safe, inclusive, and inspiring creative environment
• Strong behaviour management skills
• Passion for delivering high-quality, engaging lessons that motivate and challenge pupils
