Job Description


Flourish Education is working with a secondary school in Coventry that is looking to appoint a dedicated Art Teacher to join its established Art department. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative and motivated teacher to inspire students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 while becoming part of a supportive and collaborative school environment.

The successful Art Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and creative lessons that encourage students to develop their artistic knowledge, practical skills, and confidence. You will play an important role in creating a positive classroom environment where students are supported to achieve their full potential.

This position includes full teaching responsibilities, including planning and delivering lessons, assessing and marking pupils' work, monitoring student progress, completing reports, and attending parents' evenings for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.

This is a full-time position starting in September and finishing at the end of the academic year, with the potential for the role to be extended for the right candidate.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Previous experience teaching Art within a secondary school
  • A strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment expectations
  • Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A commitment to promoting an engaging and inclusive learning environment

This secondary school is located in Coventry and is easily accessible by car and public transport from Kenilworth, Warwick, Leamington Spa, Rugby, Nuneaton and Bedworth. Onsite parking is available for staff.
