Job Description

JOB ROLE:

Our ASD TA role is an excellent opportunity to make a big difference in a pupil’s education and involves:

  • Individualized Support: Work one-on-one with students, providing tailored assistance that meets their specific learning needs and goals.
  • Behavioural Support: Implement strategies to help students manage their behaviour, develop coping skills, and promote positive interactions with peers.
  • Communication Development: Assist in developing and implementing communication strategies, including the use of visual aids, social stories, and other resources that enhance understanding and expression.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience working with children with autism or in a special education setting is essential. Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) or other relevant techniques is desirable.
  • Qualifications in Support Teaching and Learning
  • An enhanced DBS check on the update service and be able to provide references
