Job Description

We are recruiting for Class Teacher to work in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham.

If you are graduating as an ECT this summer and looking for work in September we have roles available covering long-term sickness, maternity cover, and resignations.

Whether you are looking for a full class planning role or would like to gain more experience in the classroom covering short-term and day-to-day supply needs – we can help you secure your first teaching position.

We can offer you a variety of work, in various schools, teaching across Early Years (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2); giving you valuable teaching experience. We can even help find you a school to support your ECT (formally known as NQT).

Working as a supply teacher you will:

  • Deliver exciting lessons to match the school’s teaching and learning strategies.
  • Work alongside support staff to ensure that the needs of all pupils are met.
  • Provide feedback to pupils, in line with the school’s policy.
  • Attend meetings and training relevant to this role.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, pupil and parents.
  • Set clear expectations for behaviour and learning in the classroom.

To apply for this supply teacher role you will need the following:

  • Currently completing a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) qualification.
  • Confidence in teaching primary lessons to all abilities.
  • A passion for education and a desire to create better outcomes for all of your students
  • Be adaptable and reliable, reacting with confidence to new challenges.
  • A DBS on the update service or issued in the last 12 months.
  • KCSIE compliant safeguarding and prevent duty training inclusive of modules relating to legislation, FGM and abuse.
  • A minimum of 2 excellent references required.
