Cover Supervisor

Flourish Education is currently recruiting for a Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming secondary school in Solihull. The school is dedicated to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students are encouraged to achieve their full potential and high expectations are maintained across all year groups.

We are looking for a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to deliver pre-planned lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. This role is ideal for someone with previous secondary school experience who can confidently supervise classes, keep students engaged with their learning, and maintain a positive classroom atmosphere in the absence of the regular class teacher.

This position is due to start in September and will continue until the end of the academic year.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

• Delivering pre-prepared lessons and ensuring students remain focused on the work provided.

• Supervising classes across a range of subjects while maintaining a calm and productive learning environment.

• Collecting completed work at the end of each lesson and returning it to the class teacher.

• Providing feedback to teaching staff on students' behaviour, engagement, and any issues arising during lessons.

• Managing classroom behaviour in line with the school's behaviour policy.

Required Skills and Experience

• A degree or equivalent qualification.

• Previous experience working with Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.

• Good knowledge of the National Curriculum, particularly across KS3 and KS4.

• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
