This role is set to begin in September and will run for the entire academic year. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, marking, and teaching both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

The Role:

  • Full-time Design Technology Teacher role teaching Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4).
  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons following the National Curriculum.
  • Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively with excellent behaviour management strategies.
  • Collaborating with colleagues and parents to support student learning.
  • Attending staff meetings, training sessions, and school events as required.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT).
  • Experience teaching Design Technology in a Secondary School.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Resistant Materials and the National Curriculum.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students in Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4).
  • Excellent behaviour management skills.
