Are you a passionate Drama teacher looking to make a change? Do you know your Shakespeare from your Stanislavski? If so Flourish Education are recruiting a secondary Drama teacher to begin their role in September.

This Ofstead “Good” rated school are looking for a Drama teacher to join their vibrant Arts department for their Key stage 3 (KS3) students for 3 days per week. The role is initially for the whole academic year, and will then turn into a permanent role.

Responsibilities for the Drama Teacher role

  • Deliver Drama lessons to KS3 classes
  • Full planning, marking and assessment required.
  • Reporting pupil progress against targets/action plans
  • Work with Head of Drama Department to plan lessons.
  • Build relationships with the pupils, parents, and staff.
  • Attend CPD relevant to the role – whole staff and SLT meetings.

Required skills and experience for the Drama Teacher role

  • Experience in teaching Drama in KS3 (Key stage 3).
  • Must have the relevant teacher status: QTS / ECT’s (formerly NQTs) are encouraged to apply.
  • Ability to manage a classroom with excellent communication skills.
  • Contact references from all employment in the last 24 months.
  • Previous Drama Teacher experience.
