Flourish Education are recruiting for a Drama Teacher to join a secondary school in Solihull, starting in September 2026 and continuing until the Easter holidays 2027. This part-time opportunity would suit a teacher with a strong interest in Drama and Performing Arts who can help students develop their confidence, creativity and communication skills.
The school is looking for a Drama Teacher who can deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4, using a mixture of practical and theoretical activities. You will support students in developing their performance skills while creating a positive classroom environment where pupils feel confident participating.
This role would suit an experienced Drama Teacher or an ECT looking to gain further experience within a secondary school.
Job Role:
- Plan and deliver Drama lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Develop students' performance, communication and teamwork skills
- Use practical and theoretical approaches to support learning
- Assess and monitor student progress
- Provide constructive feedback to students
- Encourage pupils to participate in performance-based activities
- Maintain effective classroom and behaviour management
- Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Performing Arts department
- Support students in developing their academic and creative skills
Required Skills and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or currently completing an ECT programme
- Experience teaching Drama or Performing Arts within a secondary school
- Good knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 Drama curriculum
- Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Performing Arts
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons
- Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues
- Flexible and professional approach to teaching
