Working as an Early Career Teacher (ECT, formally known as NQT) you will:
- Deliver exciting lessons to match the school’s teaching and learning strategies.
- Work alongside support staff to ensure that the needs of all pupils are met.
- Provide feedback to pupils, in line with the school’s policy.
- Plan lessons effectively if it is a long-term full class role.
- Attend meetings and training relevant to this role.
- Communicate effectively with staff, pupils and parents.
- Set clear expectations for behaviour and learning in the classroom.
To apply for this Early Career Teacher (ECT, formally known as NQT) role you will need the following:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) qualification.
- Experience teaching in a primary school such as on a placement.
- Confidence in teaching primary lessons to all abilities.
- A passion for education and a desire to create better outcomes for all of your students.
- Be adaptable and reliable, reacting with confidence to new challenges.
- A minimum of 2 excellent references required, including a school reference.
