Flourish Education is currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with a passion for Early Years to work with a range of supportive primary schools in and around Tewkesbury. This role is easily commutable from Cheltenham, Bishop’s Cleeve, Worcester, Ledbury, and Malvern.
Whether you’re looking for day-to-day flexibility, short-term cover, or a long-term position, we can help you find a role that fits your lifestyle and career goals. If you’re not quite ready to take on a full class teaching role, we can offer valuable classroom-based experience in EYFS, Key Stage 1 (KS1), and Key Stage 2 (KS2) to help you build confidence before starting your induction. If you’re eager to secure a school to complete your ECT years, we can support you with that too.
Early Career Teacher – Role Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons in line with the Early Years Framework and National Curriculum
  • Support pupils of varying abilities, working alongside dedicated classroom support staff
  • Provide feedback to pupils in line with school policies
  • Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and pupils
  • Set clear expectations for behaviour and learning in the classroom
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT) status
  • Experience teaching in EYFS, KS1, or KS2
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A recent reference from a school placement or employer
  • A positive, committed, and flexible approach to teaching
