Early Years Practitioner

Job Description

Flourish Education are currently recruiting for an Early Years Practitioner to support in a Local Authority Nursery school in West Heath. The nursery has children aged between 2-4-years old and has a Forest school.

As a Nursery practitioner your responsibilities will include, planning and delivering activities for groups of children, supervising free flow play either indoors or outdoors, participating in sensory play, story times and singing activities. You will also support in the forest school, as well as providing a safe, secure environment, supporting children to grow in confidence and independence. You will also be making and recording observations on tapestry.

This role is due to start in September and will continue until the end of the academic year.

Required skills and experience for this Early Years Practitioner role:

  • To hold a level 2 or above in a relevant Early Years or Teaching Assistant Qualification.
  • Previous experience working in Early Years (EYFS) within the UK (preferred if you have previous experience in a Nursery school or Nursery class within a Primary School).
  • Confident conducting small group interventions, and 1:1 observation on children within the classroom.
  • To be able to work effectively and efficiently alongside the class teacher.

This Early Years Practitioner role is based at a school in West Heath which is easily accessible from Turves Green, Northfield, Bournville, Kings Norton, Selly Oak, Frankley, Hawkesley, Cofton, Longbridge, Rednal and Rubery. Onsite parking is available, but the school is easily accessed via Public Transport.
