Are you a nurturing and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner looking for a full-time role starting in September?

A welcoming and supportive Primary School in Worcester is seeking a dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join their team from September through to Christmas, with the potential for the role to be extended for the full academic year.

This is a full-time Early Years Practitioner position, working within the Reception class and supporting young children at a vital stage of their early development.

In this Early Years Practitioner role, you will work closely with the class teacher and wider EYFS team to support learning through play-based activities, both indoors and outdoors. You will help create a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment, supporting children’s social, emotional, and academic development.

This Primary School is looking for a caring, proactive, and reliable Early Years Practitioner who has a good understanding of the EYFS curriculum and a passion for supporting young learners.

As an Early Years Practitioner, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting children’s learning through play-based and structured activities

  • Assisting with outdoor provision and ensuring a safe and engaging environment

  • Encouraging creative play and hands-on learning experiences

  • Working with small groups to support early phonics, reading, and communication skills

  • Supervising pupils during lunchtimes and unstructured periods

  • Supporting children’s personal care needs in a respectful and nurturing manner

  • Working collaboratively with the class teacher and EYFS team


To be successful in this Early Years Practitioner role, you will need:

  • A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification

  • Previous experience working within an Early Years setting, ideally in Reception

  • Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and early learning goals

  • Experience supporting personal care needs

  • A patient, caring, and proactive approach

  • A passion for supporting children’s early development


Working for Flourish Education as an Early Years Practitioner, you will receive:

  • Competitive Salary – £18,049 - £19,500 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year
