Flourish Education are recruiting for an Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a 3-form entry Primary school in Dudley. This school have a forest school and deliver lots of activities to work towards the early learning goals by learning through play.

Our client is seeking an Early Years Teaching Assistant to work on a full-time, long-term basis starting ASAP and to continue until the end of the school year. Responsibilities of this job role are to support across Early Years, preparing resources, facilitating activities and performing observations on children based on the early learning framework.

The ideal candidate will have previous early years’ experience.

The responsibilities of the Early Years Teaching Assistant Role:

  • Support the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) team in delivering the Birth to Five Framework.
  • Assist in creating a positive and stimulating learning environment for children.
  • Work alongside teachers to manage the nursery class and ensure a smooth day-to-day operation.
  • Help assess and track children's progress and development.
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support where needed.
  • To ensure the welfare and safety of children.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience as a TA (Teaching Assistant) in a UK primary school is essential.
  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in a relevant Early Years qualification.
  • Knowledge of the Birth to Five Framework and EYFS curriculum.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • A passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
