Flourish Education is currently recruiting an Early Years Teaching Assistant to work within an OFSTED rated ‘good’ Primary school in Ross-on-Wye, to join their team on a long-term basis in September. The school aim to provide an environment where individuals, both children and staff, feel valued and appreciated.

The successful Early Years Teaching Assistant will have experience of supporting classes within the Early Years. You will have a secure understanding of the EYFS, and proven success of acting as a ‘play partner’ to extend children’s learning. The school are seeking a passionate Early Years Teaching Assistant who appreciates the importance of learning through play.

Previous experience of using ‘Tapestry’ or similar software to record children’s observations would be of an advantage, though this is not essential as full training will be provided. You will be working as a Teaching Assistant within a Nursery, and must be comfortable in supporting young children with personal care.

We are looking for a passionate and committed Early Years Teaching Assistant for a September start. This is a full-time role, initially for two terms, to cover maternity leave.

Required Skills and Experience for this Early Years Teaching Assistant role:

Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
Experience of supporting children within the EYFS or KS1
Experience of teaching or supporting Phonics lessons
Committed to a long-term post

This Teaching Assistant opportunity is located in Ross-on-Wye, and is easily commutable from the surrounding areas such as Ledbury, Hereford, Bromyard and Leominster.
