English Teacher

Job Description

We are recruiting for an English Teacher to join a high-achieving department within a nationally recognised training and development school. This role is due to start in January for the rest of the academic year.  You will be teaching both KS3 and KS4, you will have full class responsibilities.

JOB ROLE:

  • Full class responsibilities including planning, delivering, and marking lessons
  • Teach English across KS3 and KS4 following the National Curriculum
  • Assess, track, and report on pupil progress in line with school policies
  • Maintain excellent behaviour management in line with school expectations
  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to departmental planning and events
  • Inspire and motivate pupils to achieve their best in English
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT)
  • Proven experience as an English Teacher or Secondary Teacher in a Secondary School setting
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for KS3 and KS4
  • Excellent subject knowledge and ability to adapt lessons to meet pupil needs
  • Excellent behaviour management skills to maintain a positive learning environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently
