English Teacher

Flourish Education are currently recruiting a dedicated English Teacher to work within supportive secondary schools across North Birmingham. With a mixture of long-term and day-to-day opportunities available, these roles are ideal for teachers looking for either consistency or flexibility.

Long-term placements may involve full teaching responsibilities including planning, marking and assessment, while day-to-day assignments provide the opportunity to work across different school settings.

The successful English Teacher will teach English Language and English Literature across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging lessons that inspire a love of learning and help students achieve excellent outcomes.

Job Role

• Deliver engaging English lessons across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4)
• Plan and prepare lessons in line with the National Curriculum
• Assess, track and report on pupil progress
• Support pupils' literacy development through effective differentiation
• Maintain excellent classroom and behaviour management
• Contribute to departmental planning and wider school initiatives
• Build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in English (ECTs welcome)
• Experience working as an English Teacher in a UK Secondary School
• Strong subject knowledge of English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• Experience planning and delivering lessons independently
• A positive reference from your most recent employer
