Job Role:
  • Deliver engaging English lessons across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4)
  • Plan and prepare lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Assess, track and report on pupil progress
  • Support pupils' literacy development through effective differentiation
  • Maintain excellent classroom and behaviour management
  • Contribute to departmental planning and wider school initiatives
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in English (ECTs welcome)
  • Experience working as an English Teacher in a UK Secondary School
  • Strong subject knowledge of English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Experience planning and delivering lessons independently
  • A positive reference from your most recent employer

Location:

This English Teacher position is based in Harborne and the surrounding South Birmingham areas, with opportunities easily commutable from Selly Oak, Edgbaston, Bearwood, Quinton, Bournville, Bartley Green, Kings Heath, Moseley and Birmingham City Centre. Opportunities may vary by school and are accessible by both road and public transport.
