Job Description

We are seeking an English Teacher to join a vibrant and academically driven school that champions both educational excellence and personal development. This role is due to start as soon as possible, and you will teaching both KS3 & KS4. You will also be expected to plan and mark.

As this is a long-term supply teacher role, you will be expected to:

  • Teach English (Literature & Language) throughout KS3 and KS4.
  • Planning, marking, and assessment required.
  • Comply with the school behaviour policy.
  • Reporting pupil progress against targets/action plans
  • Build relationships with the pupils, parents, and staff.
  • Excellent behaviour and classroom management skills

Required skills and experience for the English Teacher role:

  • Specialist in English
  • Confident teaching both English (Literature & Language) up to GCSE
  • Must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in English - Early career Teachers (ECT’s) are encouraged to apply.
  • Ability to manage a classroom with excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisation skills.
  • Contact references from all employment in the last 24 months.
  • Previous school experience teaching Science.
