Job Description

Flourish Education are recruiting for an English Teacher to join a Secondary School in Stratford-Upon-Avon. This is a full-time role, and the position is due to start in September for the academic year. Our partnership school is seeking an English Teacher to support the development of students' literacy, analytical thinking, and communication skills through engaging English lessons and the exploration of literature to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
You will take on full class teaching responsibilities, including planning, preparation, assessment and marking, parents’ evenings and report writing for KS3 and KS4 students.
Required Skills and Experience as an English Teacher:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Previous experience teaching English within Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment requirements
  • Review student work, provide precise targets for improvement, and track progress using school data systems.
  • Expose pupils to diverse texts, encouraging them to analyse meaning, evaluate a writer's choices, and build empathy
