We are recruiting for a Food Technology Teacher to join a high-performing secondary school known for its outstanding academic outcomes and commitment to student well-being. This role is set to commence in September and will run through to January, with the potential for extension until the end of the academic year. It involves full classroom responsibilities, teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Job Role:
As a Food Technology Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering the full Food Technology curriculum across KS3 and KS4
  • Planning and marking all lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Maintaining high standards of classroom behaviour and management
  • Contributing to a collaborative and committed team environment
  • Tracking pupil progress and adapting lessons to support individual learning needs
  • Participating in departmental meetings and whole-school events
Required Skills and Experience:
To be successful as a Food Technology Teacher, you will need:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognition as an Early Career Teacher (ECT)
  • Experience teaching within a Secondary School setting
  • Excellent subject knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum
  • Proven experience teaching Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4)
  • Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to motivate pupils
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a team of Secondary Teachers and support staff
Working as a Food Technology Teacher for Flourish Education also offers you excellent benefits, including:
