Flourish Education is recruiting a Health and Social Care Teacher for a long-term role in Bromsgrove, starting after Easter and continuing to the end of the academic year. This Health and Social Care Teacher role offers flexibility, with both full-time and part-time options available, while working in a supportive and well-resourced school environment.
The school provides excellent resources and vocational facilities, allowing a Health and Social Care Teacher to deliver practical, engaging lessons that prepare students for real-world care environments. You will have the opportunity to guide students in developing essential skills such as communication, empathy, and problem-solving, while fostering their confidence and independence. Behaviour across the school is excellent, and staff benefit from the support of a highly effective and approachable leadership team. Although initially temporary, this Health and Social Care Teacher position offers the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. QTS is required.
Job Role
• Deliver engaging Health and Social Care lessons across Key Stage 4 (KS4) and Post-16 (where applicable)
• Teach a range of theoretical and practical content, including human development, care practices, communication, and legislation
• Follow the National Curriculum and vocational specifications, adapting lessons to meet different learning needs
• Maintain excellent behaviour management within classroom and practical environments
• Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback
• Build strong relationships with pupils and staff within the Secondary School
• Work confidently as a Supply Teacher with flexibility for part-time or full-time hours
Required Skills and Experience
• Health and Social Care Teacher, Secondary Teacher, Vocational Teacher, Supply Teacher
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT)
• Excellent subject knowledge in Health and Social Care and related vocational qualifications
• Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and vocational frameworks for KS4
• Ability to create a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment
• Strong behaviour management skills
• Passion for delivering high-quality, engaging lessons that motivate and challenge pupils
