Flourish Education is recruiting a flexible History Teacher to work as a Supply Teacher on either a long-term or day-to-day basis across well-regarded Secondary School settings in Dudley and the surrounding area.

This role gives you the freedom to choose when and where you work, allowing you full control of your diary while teaching in an OFSTED-rated GOOD school. Whether you’re looking for full-time, part-time or ad-hoc days, we work around you to support a brilliant work life balance.
Job Role
  • Deliver engaging History lessons across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4)
  • Teach a broad curriculum, including topics across British and World History
  • Follow the National Curriculum and adapt lessons to support different learning needs
  • Maintain excellent behaviour management in the classroom
  • Assess and track pupil progress, giving constructive and meaningful feedback
  • Build strong relationships with pupils and staff within the Secondary School environment
  • Work confidently as a Supply Teacher across a variety of classes
Required Skills and Experience
  • History Teacher, Humanities Teacher, Secondary History Teacher, History ECT, Secondary Teacher, Supply Teacher
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT)
  • Excellent subject knowledge and strong understanding of the National Curriculum
  • Confident delivering to KS3 and KS4
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • A passion for delivering high-quality History lessons that inspire pupil engagement and progress

Location
This History Teacher position is based in Dudley, easily commutable from Kingswinford, Stourbridge, Brierley Hill, Halesowen, Wolverhampton, Tipton and surrounding areas. The Secondary School is well-connected by public transport and benefits from excellent road links across the West Midlands.
