Flourish Education are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School in the Winson Green area. This is a part-time role, working Tuesday and Thursday, starting in September and continuing until July 2027.
The role will involve supporting a Year 2 class, providing classroom support and covering lessons when required. The school is looking for a proactive and adaptable Teaching Assistant who can confidently support pupils with reading fluency and maths interventions.
The school follows the Little Wandle phonics programme, and training can be provided for the successful candidate if required.
Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant:
· Supporting teaching and learning within a Year 2 classroom
· Providing classroom support and covering lessons when required
· Supporting pupils with reading fluency and maths using manipulatives
· Working closely with the class teacher to support pupil progress
· Creating a positive and engaging learning environment
· Following the school's policies and procedures
Required Skills and Experience:
· Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable
· Experience working within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2
· Knowledge of reading fluency and maths manipulatives
· A flexible and confident approach to covering classes when required
· Proactive, reliable and supportive attitude
