Flourish Education are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant/HLTA to join a Primary School in the Winson Green area. This is a full-time role starting in September and continuing until July 2027.
The role will involve supporting pupils across Years 3 and 4, delivering targeted interventions in reading, writing and maths, alongside providing classroom support and covering lessons when required.
The school is looking for a confident, proactive and adaptable Teaching Assistant or HLTA who can build positive relationships with pupils and work closely with teachers to support learning and behaviour. As Year 4 is a boy-heavy class, strong, warm and consistent behaviour management is essential.
Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant/HLTA:
· Supporting teaching and learning across Years 3 and 4
· Delivering reading, writing and maths interventions
· Providing classroom support and covering lessons when required
· Working closely with class teachers to support pupil progress
· Promoting positive behaviour and creating an engaging learning environment
· Following the school's policies and procedures
Required Skills and Experience:
· Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or HLTA status is desirable
· Experience working within Key Stage 2
· Confidence delivering reading, writing and maths interventions
· Strong behaviour management skills
· Adaptable, proactive and able to support across different classroom settings
