Job Description

Flourish Education are seeking an experienced HLTA to work in a Primary School in Ledbury. The school is rated ‘Good’ by OFSTED, and aims to foster a positive and nurturing learning experience for pupils.

The school are looking to recruit a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to start in September on a part-time basis. You will be required to work with intervention groups each morning. In the afternoons, you will be covering whole classes for PPA, delivering planned work across all key stages.

This role is working 3 days per week (Monday to Wednesday). You will not be required to plan lessons, but should be able to deliver pre-planned lessons in an engaging way for pupils. Experience of covering classes is essential.

Required Skills and Experience for this HLTA role:

  • Higher-level teaching assistant (HLTA) qualification
  • Previous experience of covering classes/lessons
  • Good knowledge of the Primary Curriculum
  • Experience working as a teaching assistant in Nurseries or Primary Schools
  • A strong school reference from your recent employer
  • The ability to create a positive learning environment.

Working for Flourish Education as a HLTA you will receive:

  • Day rate up to £100 per day which equates to £19,500 per annum working a 5 day week.

Location

This Higher Level Teaching Assistant opportunity is located in Ledbury, and is easily commutable from the surrounding areas including Ross-on-Wye, Hereford, Leominster and Bromyard. The school has an onsite carpark, and is easily accessible via public transport.
