One to one cover or support HLTA/TA, 5 days per week – working across KS1 and KS2

2 form entry school based in Sandwell

Immediate start, until July 2022

Flourish Education is working with a two-form entry school based in the Oldbury area of Sandwell. The school are currently graded Good in their most recent Ofsted inspection and have results which meet or exceed the national average. The school has great facilities, including large school fields and outdoor learning areas. Great emphasis is placed upon teaching the children of the school basic skills but through engaging and interesting ways. Pupils are encouraged to study in a secure and safe environment, with clear and consistent expectations for behaviour. The school are eager to recruit a HLTA or TA to provide cover and support across the school.

The cover HLTA or TA role will be providing support and cover across the school to a range of year groups, as necessary. In this post you may be working with different classes on a daily basis. This role may involve group work, 1:1 work and whole class teaching at times. The school are looking for the cover HLTA or TA to start immediately and the post is set to continue until July 2022. The ideal cover HLTA or TA would be someone with prior experience covering a range of year groups, as well as being flexible and adaptable.

To apply to this cover HLTA/TA role you will need the following:

·         A HLTA or Teaching Assistant qualification

·         Previous experience providing cover and support

·         Previous experience in Key Stage 1 and 2

·         Flexible and adaptable to help meet the needs of the school

·         DBS on the update service or issued in the last 12 months

·         Minimum of 2 excellent references required

Responsibilities for cover HLTA/TA:

• To liaise with the class teachers to ensure materials are delivered to groups across the school as required
• To uphold the school’s values and follow the school code of conduct.
• To attend meetings and training relevant to this role.
• To provide cover for classes as directed by the Headteacher
