Job Description

Are you a passionate Humanities Teacher looking to make a change? Flourish Education are recruiting a secondary Geography, History and RE teacher to start immediately until the end of the academic year.

This secondary school are based in South Birmingham with a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating, has strong community values and are looking for a Geography, History and RE teacher for their Key Stage 3 and 4 Students.

As this is a long-term supply teacher role, you will be expected to:

  • Teach either or all, Geography, History and RE throughout KS3 and KS4.
  • Planning, marking, and assessment required.
  • Comply with the school behaviour policy.
  • Reporting pupil progress against targets/action plans
  • Build relationships with the pupils, parents, and staff.
  • Excellent behaviour and classroom management skills

Required skills and experience for the Humanities Teacher role:

  • Specialist in Humanities
  • Must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Humanities- Early career Teachers (ECT’s) are encouraged to apply.
  • Ability to manage a classroom with excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisation skills.
  • Contact references from all employment in the last 24 months.
  • Previous school experience teaching Humanities
