Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Humanities Teacher to join a vibrant and progressive secondary school in Birmingham. The role begins after Easter and continues through to the end of the academic year. You will be responsible for planning and marking, and will teach across both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The school welcomes an environment where staff are truly valued.

As this is a long-term supply teacher role, you will be expected to:

  • Teach either or all, Geography, History and RE throughout KS3 and KS4.
  • Planning, marking, and assessment required.
  • Comply with the school behaviour policy.
  • Reporting pupil progress against targets/action plans
  • Build relationships with the pupils, parents, and staff.
  • Excellent behaviour and classroom management skills

Required skills and experience for the Humanities Teacher role:

  • Specialist in Humanities
  • Must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Humanities- Early career Teachers (ECT’s) are encouraged to apply.
  • Ability to manage a classroom with excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisation skills.
  • Contact references from all employment in the last 24 months.
  • Previous school experience teaching Humanities
