We are recruiting for a Humanities Teacher to join a small, close-knit secondary school that prioritises pupil wellbeing and academic excellence. This unique opportunity offers access to modern facilities including a Dance Studio, Sports Hall, and Performance Hall, alongside a vibrant extra-curricular programme with over 50 clubs running across six days a week. The role includes teaching motivated students in a supportive, single-sex environment, with strong links to leading Sixth Forms and top universities. This is due to start in September, it is part time but a long-term role. There will be no planning or marking. You will be teaching KS3 and KS4.
As this is a long-term supply teacher role, you will be expected to:
- Teach either or all, Geography, History and RE throughout KS3 and KS4.
- Planning, marking, and assessment required.
- Comply with the school behaviour policy.
- Reporting pupil progress against targets/action plans
- Build relationships with the pupils, parents, and staff.
- Excellent behaviour and classroom management skills
Required skills and experience for the Humanities Teacher role:
- Specialist in Humanities
- Must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Humanities- Early career Teachers (ECT’s) are encouraged to apply.
- Ability to manage a classroom with excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisation skills.
- Contact references from all employment in the last 24 months.
- Previous school experience teaching Humanities
