Are you an experienced and confident Key Stage 2 teacher looking for a part-time intervention role supporting pupils in preparation for SATs?

A welcoming and well-established primary school in West Bromwich is seeking a dedicated Year 6 SATs Booster Intervention Teacher on a long-term basis, starting after the February half term.

This role is ideal for an experienced KS2 practitioner who enjoys targeted support work and making a measurable impact on pupil progress. This is a non-planning role, where you will focus on delivering structured SATs intervention sessions to small groups or individual pupils.

As a KS2 Intervention Teacher, you will work closely with the class teachers and senior leadership team to support pupils with their studies, reinforce key learning objectives, and build confidence ahead of assessments. The school is known for its supportive leadership team, positive behaviour, and strong staff collaboration.

As a Year 6 SATs Booster Intervention Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering focused intervention sessions to support pupils in preparation for KS2 SATs.

  • Working with small groups or individual pupils to address gaps in learning across core subjects.

  • Maintaining high expectations and supporting pupils to achieve their full potential.

  • Using effective behaviour management strategies to create a positive learning environment.

  • Liaising with class teachers and support staff to monitor progress and adapt support as needed.


To be successful in this Year 6 SATs Booster Intervention role, you will need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • Previous experience teaching in a Primary School setting, with strong Key Stage 2 experience.

  • A secure understanding of KS2 curriculum expectations and SATs preparation.

  • Confident behaviour management skills.

  • A proactive, flexible, and supportive approach to pupil intervention work.
