Job Description

Flourish Education are looking for a Cover/intervention teacher to join one of our schools from September 2023 on an ongoing basis. The school is based in the Wolverhampton area and is currently looking to recruit a part-time teacher to work across a variety of year groups to provide interventions/catch-up work. Someone who has good subject knowledge and experience within a range of year groups would be needed.

The role is open to applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs), however the school does not have the capacity to support induction at this stage. The position would also suit those who hold a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant qualification.

Job role
Teaching and supporting with interventions
Follow planning/work left by the class teacher
Follow the school’s marking policy
Build relationships with the pupils, parents and staff
Provide feedback on pupil progress/attainment
Attend CPD relevant to the role with other teachers/staff
Part-time (3 days per week), long-term role

Required skills and experience
Qualified teacher status (QTS) or Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Good subject knowledge
Flexibility to teach smaller groups across a range of Primary classes
Experience as a teacher/HLTA in KS1 or KS2
Able to liaise with other staff
A DBS on the update service or issued in the last 12 months.
Minimum of 2 excellent references required.

The intervention teacher role is within a school in the Wolverhampton area. For those travelling by public transport the school can be easily reached from the surrounding areas of Penn, Willenhall, Bushbury, Bilston. The school has on-site parking for those travelling via Car.
