Intervention Teacher

Job Description

Flourish Education are recruiting for an Intervention Teacher to work in a school in the Wythall/Hollywood area on a long-term, part-time basis. This role is to support the teaching of Maths, English and Phonics to children across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

As an intervention teacher you will be responsible for delivering engaging small group and 1:1 teaching sessions to boost levels in Maths, English and Phonics. The work will be provided by the class teacher however the successful candidate will be expected to tailor work to suit each individual group/ 1:1 session, based on needs.

This intervention teacher role is due to start after the Easter holidays, initially until May half term with the potential of extension to the end of the academic year. This is a part-time role.

The Role
As this is an intervention teacher role, you will be expected to;
⦁ Tailor lesson plans set by the class teacher.
⦁ Deliver small group or 1:1 work to children across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
⦁ Create a positive learning environment.
⦁ Work alongside the teaching assistant.
⦁ Effectively manage the behaviour of pupils

To apply for this Intervention Teacher role, you will need:
⦁ Experience in teaching in either Key Stage 1 (KS1) or Key Stage 2 (KS2)
⦁ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply.
⦁ Excellent behaviour and classroom management skills
⦁ A strong school reference from your recent employer

⦁ Up to £160 per day which equates to £31,200 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year.

This role is based at a primary school in Wythall and is accessible from areas including Hollywood, Studley, Redditch, Bromsgrove, Maypole, Longbridge and Northfield. Most schools have excellent transport links and offer onsite parking.
