Flourish Education are currently seeking an Intervention Teaching Assistant to support across a year 3 class in a Primary School in Oldbury. This is a 2-form entry school and was rated ‘GOOD’ in their last Ofsted. The schools aim for excellence and achieving together.
Our client is looking for an Intervention Teaching Assistant to support across both Year 3 classes supporting pupils who have SEN with their learning needs. The ideal candidates will be working in small groups and 1-1 to support the pupils during lesson. Responsibilities of this Intervention Teaching Assistant role are to deliver small group and 1-1 interventions to pupils who have a range of SEN including Autism and ADHD.
This role is a long-term, full-time position, starting ASAP and is ongoing.
The responsibilities of this Intervention Teaching Assistant Role:
- Provide targeted SEN support for Year 3 students following the National Curriculum.
- Work closely with classroom teachers to implement interventions in Lower Key Stage 2 (LKS2).
- Support students in both 1-1 and small group settings.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff and parents.
- Help create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
- Contribute to general classroom activities when needed.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience working in a UK Primary School.
- Experience with SEN support and working as a TA in a classroom setting.
- Familiarity with the National Curriculum, especially Lower Key Stage 2 (LKS2).
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
