Job Description

Flourish Education are recruiting for a Year 1 Teacher to work in a welcoming 2-form entry primary school in Brownhills on a full-time basis. This role is due to start after the Easter Half-Term until the end of the year.

As a Year 1 Teacher in this school, you will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners, ensuring a smooth transition from Early Years into Key Stage 1. You will work alongside a Teaching Assistant, safeguard all pupils, mark work in line with school policy, and attend staff meetings when required.

To apply for this Year 1 Teacher role, you will need:
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 1
  • A strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and phonics knowledge
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – ECTs are also encouraged to apply
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A strong school reference from your most recent employer or placement
