Job Description

Flourish Education are recruiting for a Key Stage 1 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in the Bilston area. This is a full-time role starting in September for either a long-term or part-time role.   

Our client is a friendly and inclusive school with a supportive leadership team and a collaborative staff body. The school places a strong emphasis on ensuring children feel safe, valued, and engaged in their learning. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills to create a positive and structured environment for learning, while also ensuring pupils are well-prepared for the transition into Key Stage 2.

As a Key Stage 1 Teacher, you will take on full class teacher responsibilities across 4 days, including planning, delivering, and assessing lessons, as well as contributing to the wider life of the school.

Job role:
  • Key Stage 1 Teacher
  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
  • Creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Managing behaviour effectively and maintaining high expectations for learning
  • Assessing and tracking pupil progress to support academic development
  • Building strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
  • Attending staff meetings and contributing to school life as required
Required skills and experience:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching across Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2
  • Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum, SATs, and phonics screening
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons

Working for Flourish Education:
  • £168.80 to £232.57 per day which equates to £32,916 to £45,351.15 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year
