Job Role:
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum.
  • Provide high-quality teaching and learning opportunities that support pupil progress.
  • Mark and assess pupil work, offering clear and constructive feedback.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all pupils feel valued.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively.
  • Commit to a full-time, long-term role starting after October half term and continuing for the rest of the academic year.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT).
  • Experience as a Key Stage 2 Teacher, Class Teacher, or within a Primary School setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum.
  • Confidence in teaching across the KS2 age range.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.

Location:
This position is based in Hay-on-Wye, commutable from Newchurch, Eardisley, Michaelchurch Escley and the surrounding areas. The school offers onsite parking and has strong community links.
