Job Description

A Key Stage 2 Teacher is required to join a GOOD rated Primary School in Walsall from September to teach a lively and diverse Year 5 class. The school, part of a well-respected trust, prides itself on its inclusive ethos, strong community links, and focus on raising aspirations for all pupils. This Primary Teacher role is full-time and long-term with ongoing potential. Excellent behaviour management is essential, as the school values consistency, positive reinforcement, and strong classroom presence to maintain a productive and respectful learning environment.

As a Key Stage 2 Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
  • Full Class Teacher responsibilities including planning, marking, and assessment
  • Delivering engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum for Key Stage 2 (KS2)
  • Creating a stimulating and supportive classroom environment
  • Managing behaviour effectively in line with school policies
  • Supporting pupils’ academic and personal progress
  • Working collaboratively with the wider school team
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (KS2) or Key Stage 1 (KS1)
  • Previous experience as a Primary Teacher, Key Stage 2 Teacher, or Class Teacher
  • Sound understanding of the National Curriculum
  • Strong and confident classroom presence with excellent behaviour management
  • Ability to engage and inspire a diverse range of learners
Working as a Key Stage 2 Teacher for Flourish Education also offers you excellent benefits, including:
