Job Description

Flourish Education are recruiting for a Key Stage One Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Rubery. This is a full-time role which is due to start as soon as possible until the end of the academic year.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills to create a positive and structured environment for learning, while also ensuring pupils are well-prepared for the transition into Key Stage 2.

As a Key Stage One Teacher you will take on full class teacher responsibilities, including planning, delivering, and assessing lessons, as well as contributing to the wider life of the school.


As a Key Stage One Teacher, you will:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons across Key Stage 1 in line with the National Curriculum
  • Take full responsibility for your class, including behaviour management and pastoral care
  • Monitor pupil progress, provide timely feedback, and maintain accurate records
  • Contribute to school reports and classroom documentation
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff
  • Participate in school events and foster a positive classroom culture

Skills & Experience Required:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience as a Primary Teacher, ideally KS1
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for KS1 and KS2
  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
