Our client is looking to recruit a full time KS1 teacher in September to cover maternity leave. Initially you will be based in Year 2 and this role is for at least 2 terms, although it may continue on longer or turn permanent.
This friendly primary school is larger than average and is at the centre of the local community. It has been rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted and supports children with EAL and SEN in an inclusive environment.

This KS1 Teacher role requires:
As a KS1 teacher you will be expected to plan and deliver exciting and engaging lessons to follow the National Curriculum. As you will initially be in Year 2, SATS experience will be an advantage although is not a necessity. The school uses RWI phonics so knowledge of this would be an advantage, although most importantly, you will be hands-on, enthusiastic and passionate about what you do.
Each class has their own teaching assistant, who you will be expected to use effectively to support the class. You will also have good behaviour management and differentiate lessons accordingly to cater for all levels.
Experienced teachers and NQT’s are encouraged to apply. The school are able to support NQT induction for the right candidate.
