KS1 Teacher

Job Description

Flourish Education is currently recruiting a KS1 Teacher to work in a Year 1 class in an Ofsted rated ‘good’ Primary school in Cheltenham, to join their team on a part-time basis (2 days per week). The school prides itself on it’s happy and welcoming team, with a recent OFSTED report starting that ‘Staff enjoy their jobs and are proud to be members of staff. They feel well supported and appreciate steps taken by leaders to reduce their workload.’

You will be required to deliver pre-planned lessons in an engaging way for younger pupils. You will have high expectations of pupil behaviour, work well as part of a team alongside the teaching assistants, and be dedicated to creating a positive and nurturing learning environment.

We are looking for a passionate and committed KS1 Teacher to start as soon as possible. This role will continue for the remainder of the academic year to cover maternity leave.

Required Skills and Experience for this Supply Teacher role:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) – ECT’s and NQT’s are encouraged to apply.
  • KS1 Experience
  • Excellent behaviour and classroom management skills
  • The ability to deliver pre-planned lessons in an engaging way for younger pupils.
  • The ability to work effectively alongside teaching assistants.

This KS1 Teacher opportunity is located in Cheltenham, and is easily commutable from the surrounding areas such as Tewkesbury, Bishops Cleeve and Gloucester. The school has an onsite carpark, and is easily accessible via public transport.
