Flourish Education is currently working with a 2 form entry Primary School based in Handsworth. They are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to work in a Year 4 class. It is required to have previous Key Stage 2 experience.

The school are looking for a teaching assistant confident in providing 1:1 interventions.

This Year 4 Teaching Assistant role would be suitable for an experienced Level 3 qualified or above TA and is a 4 day a week role from Monday – Thursday.

To apply to this Year 4 Teaching Assistant role you will need

• A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or above
• Experience in working with KS2
• Enthusiastic and supportive approach
• Good behaviour management
• Experience with phonics

Responsibilities

• Support children across the curriculum with a particular focus on maths, reading and writing
• Provide extra support for those with special educational needs and English as an additional language
• Motivate and encourage pupils
• Assist with marking and correcting work
• Help children to develop learning skills, manage their own learning and manage their time
• Provide one-to-one and small group interventions to those who need the extra support
