This “good” rated alternative provision school is looking for a Lead science Teacher to teach across KS3 and KS4

Responsibilities for the Lead Science Teacher role

⦁ Deliver Science lessons to KS3 and KS4 classes
⦁ Full planning, marking and assessment required.
⦁ Reporting pupil progress against targets/action plans
⦁ Line manage/support one other Science teacher
⦁ Build relationships with the pupils, parents, and staff.
⦁ Attend CPD relevant to the role – whole staff and SLT meetings.

Required skills and experience for the Lead Science Teacher role

⦁ Experience in teaching Science to KS3 and KS4
⦁ Must have the relevant teacher status: QTS
⦁ Ability to manage a classroom with excellent communication skills.
⦁ Strong behaviour management skills
⦁ Contact references from all employment in the last 24 months.
⦁ Previous Science Teacher experience.
⦁ Previous experience working in a PRU/Alt Provision school is desirable, but not essential.
